A-frames are critical handling systems used for deployment and recovery of subsea equipment, tools and survey systems. Operating in harsh offshore environments places significant demands on structural integrity, hydraulic performance and operational safety. Over time, wear, corrosion and evolving operational requirements create a need for refurbishment and technical upgrades to maintain safe and reliable operation.

This project involved a comprehensive overhaul and upgrade of an existing CPS A-Frame. The objective was to extend the operational lifetime of the equipment while implementing modifications that improved accessibility, safety and functionality for offshore personnel.

The project combined inspection, refurbishment, fabrication, hydraulic work, structural modifications and testing before the equipment was prepared for return to service.

Scoope Of Work

ENGINEERING & EXECUTION

Engineering coordination, planning and execution ensured that refurbishment activities, modifications and testing were completed efficiently while maintaining compliance with project requirements.

STRUCTURAL REFURBISHMENT

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM UPGRADES

Hydraulic systems were inspected, serviced and upgraded to support reliable operation and improved functionality during deployment and recovery operations.

ACCESS & SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS

New access platforms, handrails and operational safety features were incorporated to improve personnel safety and maintenance accessibility.

QUALITY, INSPECTION & DOCUMENTATION

Inspection activities, verification procedures and project documentation provided traceability and confidence in equipment condition and performance.

TESTING & COMMISSIONING

Functional testing and system verification were carried out prior to delivery to confirm operational readiness and compliance with project requirements.
