Sheave Frames for Offshore Cable Handling

Safe handling of umbilicals, cables and lifting lines requires equipment capable of operating under significant dynamic loads while maintaining predictable line routing and minimizing wear. For this project, Kverneland Aqua delivered two complete sheave frame assemblies including sheave wheels, load monitoring capability, structural steel fabrication, surface treatment and load testing prior to delivery.

The project combined fabrication, machining, welding, NDT inspection, offshore coating systems and certification requirements into a complete equipment package ready for deployment offshore. Each unit was manufactured, assembled and tested to meet the operational requirements of a demanding subsea
